NHDR Worldwide

National Human Development Reports capture human development at a national level using the global Human Development Report approach. They are led, researched, written and owned by national teams. Today, 135 countries in all regions of the world have produced their own national reports.

National Human Development Reports introduce the concept of human development into national policy discussions. They serve as a factual basis for policy analysis focusing on measuring human progress, addressing national-specific human development issues and recommending solutions to the raised issues.

The reports are intended to spur dialogue among the national stakeholders to mobilise actions and change in the countries. They help to articulate the people’s perceptions and priorities on human development issues and thus create a platform for further discourse.
